don't let this town ruin you

I Will Take My Chances | Finsy

missy-tanner:

Great. First night on set and they really won’t quit trying to make everything romantic. First, I have to make out with Finnoying on a freaking bed, and now I’m standing on the roof of a building with him, where we’ll probably have to make out some more. I wonder how awkward it would be if I jumped off the top. No, I won’t do that. They have chocolate covered strawberries over there on that table for the cast and crew. Think of the chocolate covered strawberries, Missy. Chocolate. Covered. Strawberries. Missy only snapped out of her thoughts when she felt a brush tickling her cheeks. She instinctively cringed, but then she realized that the girl was just trying to touch up her makeup. “Oh, sorry. I zoned out, I guess.” She smiled apologetically and let the girl fix her makeup, starting to zone out once again. How awkward was that? I was so deep in thought with myself that I made that poor girl feel like she was attacking me. Fucking Finn, he’s making me crazy.

The makeup girl left and the director came up, probably to tell them what they had to do for this scene. For the first few words, she swore she was paying attention, but then he started to say something about her being picked up and she zoned out again. Why the fuck would I let him pick me up? So he can drop me? Nope. That’s definitely not happening. She could feel Finn’s eyes on her, and for whatever reason, her heart started beating a little faster and she actually got nervous. So basically I’ve made out with Finn, which I swore not to do ever in my life, and now he’s making me nervous. What the fuck? What is wrong with me? No, nothing’s wrong with me. It’s him! His stupid hair, and his stupid lips. He’s actually a really good kisser… no! What am I saying? Well, I’m not saying anything because I’m mentally talking to myself, but… yeah, I should stop this. Her cheeks reddened a little bit and she looked over at him, trying to make him think that she was annoyed, but it ended up looking like she was smiling at him. She looked away and sighed, mentally rolling her eyes at herself.

“Got it?” The director said, and Missy’s eyes widened a little bit, but she nodded. How did this keep happening? She was usually good at paying attention to guys, but Finn was throwing her off. She ran her fingers through her hair, trying to make up what he was saying in her mind. Oh, right, he had said something about her getting picked up… right? She couldn’t think of anything that would make sense, so she figured she’d just go with whatever Finn was doing. He was paying attention, right? Missy smirked when he came up to her and asked what he had to do, because he was actually asking her for help. But then she realized that she didn’t actually know what either of them were supposed to do. She didn’t have much time to tell him that, because soon the director was yelling ‘action’ and they were both screwed. And then Finn was kissing her, again. And it was good. She kissed him back, resting her hand on his cheek and smiling softly as his lips moved to her jaw and then to her neck. Damn. Then he said something and she remembered that it was Finn and she was enjoying his kissing. Her eyes were still closed, and she smiled warmly before muttering. “I don’t know, I-I zoned.” She giggled quietly, licking her lips before adding more. “Kiss me again,” she told him, certain he would do it because it seemed like it belonged in the video.

“I don’t know, I- I zoned.” Finn looked up at Missy for a moment and sent her a smirk. They were in the same boat. God, what if they were doing the exact opposite of what they were supposed to do? The director would probably thing Finn and Missy had a thing for each other which… ugh. Gag. That was disgusting. Missy was disgusting. But one hell of a kisser. As the boy kissed her jaw, he heard her mutter to kiss him again. Gently, he sunk his teeth into her skin, not too deep or hard or anything. Just a little love bite. He pulled away and his eyes looked into her’s momentarily. Blue was a sexy color on her. Who cared if it was creepy? It wasn’t like Finn was going to tell her that her eyes were sexy. Hell no. Why would he tell her her eyes were sexy?

“What?” The word exited Finn’s lips lazily so he would be audible to Missy, inaudible for the director and film crew and so his lips didn’t mouth anything. His eyebrow arched and he placed his lips against her’s again. His fingers slid against her back, against her bare skin and he gripped her somewhat possessively. His lips moved from her’s to her cheek, then her jaw, her neck, the crook of her neck, her collar bone, and finally he pulled away. He still had his hands on her and without another word, he figured he’d have a little fun with her. Kissing her was great, sure, but Missy and Finn were known for pissing each other off. So, without further ado, he wrapped his arms tighter around the girl’s torso. “You ready?” he mumbled into her ear. He didn’t wait for an answer before he lifted her off her feet and spun her a little, a small, sincere laugh leaving his lips.

Y’know, for show.

At her slight protest, Finn couldn’t help but let his smile widen. “What, you don’t like that?” he asked teasingly. His tone was light and happy, much different than his usual tone. When he was with a girl, he spoke as he usually did… With a lower tone, his words slurred together in an almost seductive manner. This was so different. He wasn’t being outwardly flirty like he was used to. He continued to laugh and brought the girl over his shoulder and spun her. “Oh- I’m gonna drop you,” he chuckled softly, pretending to drop her by letting her go but catching her right away. He brought her back down but held her close to him, his eyes studying her expression. For a split second, he found himself completely lost in the moment. He swallowed hard as he came back to reality and placed his lips against her’s. He pulled away and took her hand, sunk to the ground and sat down, tugging on her arm for her to join him. Once she did, he placed a hand on her thigh and kissed her again.

Cityscape. Was that supposed to be romantic? No. It wasn’t. It was a city. Woop-dee-fucking-do. Finn kept a straight face as they stood on the top of a building, workers running around and setting up the scene. He pressed his lips together and kept his hands in his pockets until a worker came up to him with a small paper cup filled with water. “Finn?” He looked at the worker and blinked, not realizing she was offering him water. He finally snapped into it and gave her a small smile, taking the cup and sipping it silently. The air was still. No wind. It was quiet up there. The city underneath was bustling and as the sky got darker, the lights illuminated the buildings and cars. They looked more like ants from where they were. He had to admit, though… The view was amazing. Breath-taking. Well… it would be breath-taking if Finn wasn’t being a stubborn little bastard.

“So for this scene, guys… Guys.” Finn turned to the director and noticed Missy had been standing a few feet away from him. Pissed off that he wrote how sexy she was on his neck. He gave her a look. Please. You know it’s a compliment for me of all people to call you sexy. Just look at that stupid smug look she has. Puckering her lips like she’s hotter than everyone else. Popping her hip to the side like she’s a badass. Her eyes are sexy. Blue. Can blue be sexy? That’d be weird if a color was sexy. On a girl, it can be. But not just a color. That’d be weird. Her eyes are sexy. Is she wearing fake eyelashes? Probably. She’s fake as fuck. Shit, she looked at me. Look away.

“Got it?” The director had been speaking that whole time and Finn completely tuned it out. He glanced once more at Missy and saw she was nodding, which meant she had heard what he was saying. He finished his drink and handed the cup to the woman that gave it to him. He walked up to Missy and kept his straight face on. He stepped closer to her as if prepping for the scene. “Tell me what I’m supposed to do,” he muttered. “Just tell me, okay? I- I zoned.” And before she could get a word out, the word ‘action’ was yelled from behind him and the song started playing in the background for reference. Without thinking, Finn placed his hand on the small of her back, the other resting in between her shoulder blades and he planted one on her. He moved his lips to her cheek, then her jaw, right underneath her jaw, her neck. “You gonna tell me?”

missy-tanner:

Yep, you tricked me so you could make out with me. Which is totally understandable, I mean… I totally get it.

Why would I have to trick you to make out with me?

missy-tanner:

I mean, yeah… but you don’t get to say it! You probably did that on purpose. You tricked me into being in your music video.

Oh, yeah, I tricked you because I was at the studio when they chose the leading lady for my video. I wasn’t rehearsing for my tour or anything, no.

missy-tanner:

Ugh, why do you say things like that?

Because it’s true.

missy-tanner:

Mhm, ‘kay. And also, what you wrote on my neck. Not cool.

Well it was a true statement…

missy-tanner:

Good. I didn’t want you to think that… stupid music video meant anything off-screen.

If it meant something it’d be called a relationship, not a music video.

missy-tanner:

And what’s that supposed to mean? By the way, have I ever told you that I hate you? Because I definitely do.

I think you’ve mentioned it once or twice.

missy-tanner:

Give me a break, Finnigan. I pressed that button by accident.

You press a lot of “buttons” by accident, in that case…
